Blue

The photo was taken near the castle (Akershus festning). Walking down these stairs would take you in the direction of the city hall, and the shopping area "Aker brygge".

Back garden at Rodeløkka

Yesterday's photo was from Rodeløkka in Oslo. This is a photo of one of the back gardens. A lovely place, hidden for most people.

Withering

My summer flowers are dying. Does it mean that autumn is approaching - or is it just because I'm a really bad gardener?

Happy Birthday, Stormel!

Today is Stormel's birthday. Happy birthday, dear friend and neighbour! Thank you for all your wonderful contributions to this blog, it certainly wouldn't be the same without you.

Here are some flowers for you. It's a photo of a hanging plant I've just bought. I took a photo of it last night and then played around with it a little in Photoshop. :-)

Horse Foot

Weeeeee - it's spring!! :o)

I really love to find these first, yellow signs of spring. In Norway we call these flowers Hestehov (=Horse foot).

Floral charm

This is probably the last photo from Bærums Verk. This old wheelbarrow has been allowed to spend the rest of its life supporting these flowers and plants. It makes a very nice decoration, I think.

The building nearby is a shop selling delicious homemade jam and syrup (and much else). Very tempting!

A flower for you

No rain for two days. Whohoo! Well, to celebrate: here's a flower for you.

White flowers

This photo is taken by my sister. It's an "ocean" of white tulips outside the "Government block", i.e. the government's office building, in downtown Oslo. Lovely, isn't it?

Perhaps my sister will take some more photos to show us the government building as well? Let's wait and see... :-)
