This is a Norwegian invention, the cheese slicer. You will find it in many different designs and materials, all depending on the price you pay for it. This is a cheap one, with a plastic handle. It still does it's job, though.

These are great. I have one myself. Great invention!
I never knew the cheese slicer was a Norwegian invention until I came to Oslo and saw them on sale at duty free. Needless to say, I bought one :-)
