Lightning over Oslo

From Oslo last night. My very first picture of lightning.

We have had some really fast-changing weather in Oslo lately. From heavy rain to sunshine in just a little while. We have had some thunderstorms too, but it's hard to take pictures of it during daytime. I have been waiting for it to happen during night-time, and finally..! Last night I could hear this really loud bang. I went out on the balcony and spent the next couple of hours taking pictures of the sky, hoping there would be some lightning at the right time.

I did get several photos of lightning, and this is probably the best one.

Wow! I would've been too terrified to try to take photos. We rarely get huge lightning storms in Manila. Amazing shot!

Stormel: Haha, well I might be going to start charging people for using my balcony. ;) Naa, only kidding! It would be fun to have you here, so we can chase lightnings together. :)

JM: Thanks! It wasn't too bad, but it was loud. :)

Hilda: Thank you! It felt quite safe being on my balcony, but I would have felt scared if I had been on top of a mountain or in the middle of a field. :)

Kimberly: You heard it too, wasn't it really loud?! It made me jump in my chair. :) I like wathing thunderstorms... nature makes the most interesting shows. :)

Thanks for all your comments! :)

Dina: It's not a special setting, it's just done on time. I think I used 13 seconds and had the camera on a tripod (of course). I spent 2 hours, took nearly 170 pictures and got 3 pictures that was any good. Patience... :)
