This is a common sight in Oslo: the containers for glass, tin cans, paper, plastic and everything that can be recycled. There are also special places to throw away waste that can damage nature. Mostly you'll find these at gas stations. The containers in my photo are placed near a grocer's shop, which makes it easy to get rid of the garbage.
In other towns of Norway they've come much further. Many places have recycling of food waste, as well. Hopefully Oslo will follow, but the city is much larger than these other places and I guess it will require a huge system to be able to fetch and recycle the waste of every citizen of Oslo.
