Hovseter Side Frukt & Grønt (Fruits and vegetables) is a really nice shop to live close to. They're open every day, even Sundays (most shops are closed on Sundays in Norway). Apart from fruits and vegetables, you'll find lots of products from other countries; Turkish bread, børek, spices, feta cheese, olives etc. They have a wide range of tea and coffee, canned products and snacks of all kinds. As we're expecting company today, we went to buy some Italian icecream. Yum!
The sign tells you that the fruit and vegetables can be found inside. The shop has a cold-storage chamber to keep these goods fresh and nice.

I like the two photos of your favorite shop. Nice.
Lots of goodies in that store! Nice photos :)
Good choice and nice to see a local shop with doing so well.
Such a colorful corner store. Looks like it has anything you would want locally!
Wow, that looks like a great store to go to when you are hungry. I can imagine myself grabbing all sorts of goodies and finding a nice spot to relax and pig-out!
Thanks for visiting my blog and for your wonderful comment.
I'm sure your company enjoyed the Italian ice cream.
We try to support locally owned businesses when possible. The convenience and price from large franchises make this difficult sometimes. In fact we shop for groceries at a franchise which has taken on the look, feel, and location of a corner shop just a few blocks from where we live. However I did not share a photo of the franchise because it was not locally owned.
Denton from Greenville and the Daily Photo Map.
Looks like a really interesting shop. I love stores that have stuff from everywhere.
Looks clean neat and cozy.
Looks like the place to get some nice things to eat! Happy Theme Day :)
Lovely to see both views of your corner shop. I like that you included the shopkeeper in one, and can see watermelon, strawberries and flowers and plants for sale as well. All this and gellato! What a selection.

How lucky you are to have such tantalizing delicacies at a nearby shop! I haven't had Turkish borek since my stay in Turkey more than thirty years ago.
I like this shop ... it looks very well stocked with fresh fruit and vegetables, but more important, it looks very friendly and well cared for. Great choice for theme day!
Thank you for all your nice comments and for visiting the Oslo Daily Photo! :)
Well I adore those kind of everything-shop where you may find almost everything you need at last minute. Here too unfortunately shops and groceries are closed on Sunday
Italiensk iskrem... yum! :-)
